Mine Mine Mine

This is my Blog that consist of my very opinionated views of my little world as I see it. I publish this site for my convenience and unless I have given you my site address directly you are a mere visitor to my personal blog site.

Feel free to read and comment positively but remember you are solely responsible for determining the suitability of this information. Content can change depending on my whims.

PS. I copy stuff from other web sites for my convenience and it is published in the public domain by virtue of this being a blog. Where possible I will list the original web site and kudos to the original author. I do this because some web content is important to me and bitter personal experience has taught me that important web sites can disappear or be changed for the worse and that annoys me. If you feel done in then send me a mail and I will remove your content but please do get a life!

Open University course T173 - Engineering the future

What have I done!

As if I do not have enough on my plate I also decided to enrol on some Open University courses. I am now way behind on my various courses as I am by nature a JIT (Just in Time) person but hopefully I will catch up soon. I am hoping to use my blog as a means of studying and getting things done. As I do the required research I am finding resources on the Internet and book marking and copying them as experience has taught me that stuff not personally accessible online in my blog will soon be forgotten and on top of that public web pages disappear when you most need them. To make sure I do not loose any of the valuable material I will document them in this series of blog pages.

I am currently working on TMA 2 that seems a whole lot more difficult than TMA 1. However, the good news is that I have received my results from TMA 1 and I got 100%. Yes, I even got the marks for presentation and layout! That was encouraging and is certainly helping my motivation along a bit. In school I regularly got a 100% for two classes, geography and accountancy. I choose accountancy in the later years because I was promised that it would be the first class to be computerised. Liars! Well, I soon lost interests in journals and posting and did not do that well ever again.

Some good news: I got my results for TMA2 on the Friday the 7th of Jan and I scored 80%!

My alter ego in one of my parallel universes where I choose geography, the one where Bill Gates is still a nerd and computers are actually helpful, is probably searching for Unobtanium near the planet Betelgeuse having got there at warp 12 in his new flash spaceship that he got for his 30th birthday. In that universe you stay 30 forever as they had reliable computers and allowed stem cell research and all animal rights protestors were fed to animals.
